Toys"R"Us are giving fans the chance to Win 1 of 5 Transformers prize packs*, including:

• A family pass (2 adults & 2 children’s tickets) to see the Transformers Dark of the Moon movie in 3D
• Transformers Mechtech Leader
• Transformers Mechtech Voyager
• Transformers Mechtech Deluxe
• Transformers Robo Power CineMask

Each prize pack is valued at over $250.

Entries close 15 June, 2011.

*One prize pack to be won per state: NSW, VIC, QLD, WA & SA.

From TRU - the prizes are limited to just 5 states because of the Movie tickets (perhaps there are no participating theatres in ACT, TAS & NT), or they could only afford 5 packs of prizes.

The competition is only open to those states – as these are the states we have been allocated tickets for.
ACT will definitely be grouped with NSW. But for the other 2 states, unfortunately we do not have tickets.

If they wish to enter with a different state, and want to travel to the state they have won tickets in, that is entirely up to them. However we aren’t permitted to write that in the terms and conditions.

So those outside of those five states can still enter, even if you can't use the movie tickets, you shouldn't miss out on the chance to win free toys.

I entered thinking this was limited to movieverse characters (due to it being a TRU comp)
Is this true? Or could we focus on g1 characters?

I'm not too sure dude, the question is a little ambiguous on that subject - Luckily my favourite character is present in both universes.

If it doesn't say just Movie characters, it should be anyone, and since it isn't a randomly drawn competition, it should come down to the 'why' bit, rather than the 'who'. But if the panel of judges are not dedicated fans, picking someone well known for them to understand your 'why', may be an advantage.

These terms and conditions apply to the Transformers Dark of the Moon online competition.

1. Promotion commences 9.00am (AEST) on Wednesday 4th May 2011.
2. Entries close 11.59pm (AEST) on Wednesday 15th June 2011. Entries received after the closing date and time will be deemed invalid.
3. Information on how to enter form part of the Terms and Conditions. Participating in this promotion (“the Promotion”) is deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
4. Entry is open to Australian citizens or resident only
5. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Entries will be individually judged and assessed by the Promoter’s panel of judges for their quality and creativity in answer to ‘Tell us in 25 words or less who is your favourite Transformers character and why’.
6. Total Prize pool includes 5 prize bundles that include the following in each bundle: A family pass (2 adults & 2 children’s tickets) to see the Transformers Dark of the Moon movie in 3D, Transformers Mechtech Leader, Transformers Mechtech Voyager, Transformers Mechtech Deluxe, Transformers Robo Power CineMak, totalling $1415
7. Each prize pack will vary in styles.
8. Competition open to NSW, VIC, QLD, WA & SA residents, excludes NT & TAS. 1 entry in NSW, 1 entry in VIC, 1 entry in SA, 1 entry in QLD and 1 entry in WA, judged the most original and creative will win a Transformers prize pack.
9. Multiple entries are permitted and must be accompanied by a separate “25 words or less” story.
10. Winner will be judged on Friday 17 June 2011 at Toys”R”Us SSC, 391 Park Rd Regents Park and the Transformers prize packs will be sent to each winner via Australia post.
11. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.
12. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
13. No component of these gifts can be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. Gifts must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.
