    Default Toyworld DotM introductory sale

The current catalogue for Mr Toys Toyworld (not sure if standard Toyworlds will be the same), goes to 2nd June, so these introductory prices might be good for about 2 weeks.

I rang and verified that these are not regular prices... these are just introductory prices.

DotM Deluxe - $27 (regular price should be about $30-35, the catalogue has a typo)
    DotM Voyager - $40 (regular price $50)
    DotM Leader - $90 (regular price $100)

Am I the only one seeing many things wrong with these prices?

Nah, I just think they're sort of expected by a lot of people is all.
It is an Independent chain after all.

I actually think their voyager price is good. Best is like $49 or $48 something at Big W/K-Mart.

I'd get onboard if I saw a Voyager Megs / Shockwave / Skyhammer at that price.

And yeah, as a independent, they don't have scale to offer as good prices as large retailers

It's not as cheap as Big W, but still cheaper than Target (which is selling them at the RRPs). IMO anything below RRP is good.

I've run 2 Toyworlds - Mt Gravatt and Loganholme.

Their release date is 16/5/2011 - ie Monday.

The lady said that they are not allowed to sell until that day.

Interesting to note that Big W, Kmart, Target and TRU have all broken the street date and a small chain is adhering to it

But I guess Toyworld is the best place to buy Voyagers at an introductory price of $40!

I thought TRU were the ones sticking to it as I've seen sightings at all those other chains already. TRU are the ones with the May 14th promo (other stores would get in trouble if the Doncaster store's 'advance' launch is spoilt by their fellow stores), plus a computer system that won't allow the registers to process and sell the figures.

As Griffin has said - Toyworld Jindalee at the Homebase Centre has some DOTM stuff.

Some crazy sh-t is going on with pricing

The thing is - Toyworld and Mr Toy's Toyworld are similar yet different groups. From what I can see, Toyworld is the 'master' franchise and Mr Toy's Toyworld are a group of SE QLD Toyworld's bunched together

When they were preparing the pricing, it seems that both of them did not communicate with each other.

eg - the following are current catalogues
    Toyworld

    Mr Toy's Toyworld

After wading through this, the best prices we can get for this catalogue is:

    DOTM Voyager - $40
    DOTM Deluxe - $25
    DOTM Leader - $70

Leader for $70 is the best price. I will definitely buy Sentinel Prime for this price. Even Ironhide if released, but definitely not Bumblebee

Unfortunately Mr Toys Jindalee wouldnt price match the Toyworld brochure.

However, Mt Gravatt and Runaway Bay (Gold Coast) will.

So hopefully in the AM, I will venture out to Mt Gravatt and get Sentinel Prime Leader class for $70 and grab Megatron and Ironhide Voyagers.

I am so excited so many new TFs have been released of late
