But how do I know BM isn't popular and is in no way comparable to Beast Wars?

Because there is/was no 10th Anniversary Beast Machines line.

Maybe there would have been one if the Beast Wars one hadn't shelfwarmed.

And weren't still shelfwarming five years later.
