    No, I'd say that's an original because the reissues all have metal toes whereas some originals had plastic toes (my G1 has metal toes, but a lot of other kids I knew had plastic-toed Hot Rods). AFAIK there's never been a reissue of plastic-toed Hot Rod.

    I was able to get this from the TF wiki: Upon his original release, Hot Rod had unpainted die-cast metal feet, while later editions of the figure used black plastic.

    Not all that helpful. I guess it's an original then. Thanks for your help.

    I'm totally keen on getting a Hot Rod gun. I'll pm you.

    I too have questions about the manufacturing version of my own G1 Hotrod, though he isn't a particularly favoured character of mine so I'm not too fussed really.
