Default Bot Shots - who's going to be collecting them?

The new gimmick line for this year is the Bot Shots... which are a reworking of the Battle Chargers, to include a game element.
Each figure auto-transforms to reveal a chest panel that can be pre-selected to one of three power options - and the power type and number value competes with what your opponent has selected (if you both chose the same power type, then the number value is likely to be the deciding factor).

There are said to be 44 different ones planned in this first series, and the Checklist has already identified 27 from official photos and the US Toyfair display.

Varieties will be single packs, triple packs, launchers and a four-pack (with two launchers)... and included throughout the waves are translucent, chase "super" figures.

So from what is so far known, who here is going to be definitely collecting these, maybe collect them when you see them or based on our pricing of them, or will be avoiding them completely for being too gimmicky?

I might get the odd 1 or 2, especially if one bares the visage of a certain audibly superior character; as it's very much a mixed bag of design aesthetics (So far G1 and Movieverse), if there's a Beast Wars run then I might jump on this a little harder.

I think of these like the old Attacktix, a game with Transformer figures I don't have interest in. Making them actual transforming toys (simplistic as these are) doesn't win me over. It does give them more play value than their larger Cyberslammer and Bumper Battlers brothers though.

I've noticed that there actually seems to be (at least) four options - a fist, a gun, a target and a sword. It'll be interesting to see how it's all supposed to work. I think they're cute and may actually pick some up.

Someone should tell STL there's a new Acid Storm to stockpile.

Being a big fan of super-deformed vehicles and robots, these are must-haves for me. I just received a 12 pack case of the first wave, and really like the aesthetics of Bot Shots.

They also fit in quite well with the Choro Q Robo take of Transformers from a few years back. Too bad Bot Shots don't run on spring-powered engines like their Choro Q counterparts.
Recent Acquisitions: Missing Link Optimus, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper
    (Pre-)ordered: Missing Link Sunstreaker, Arcee
