    Default ActionMaster Megatron - WIP

Hi. been a while since i've had time to do a build. thanks to the holidays i've been putting in work on this thing here and there over the last week.

i'm one of many who never liked the Classics/Henkei Megatron and it is certainly not fit to lead my Classics/Henkei collection.
this will be its ultra-articulated, Ultra Class replacement.

base mold used is Universe Ultra Class Silverbolt. other odds and ends include Alternators Wheeljack, MP Skywarp, Robotech MB07, Henkei Rodimus, KO G1 HotSpot (red version), Generations RedAlert, Energizer LED torch, some lego and a heap of putty, greenstuff and styrene sheet.

i didnt start taking photos until the second day but you'll get the idea.
i reckon this is about 40% complete so far.

thanks for looking and please leave critiques and comments, cheers.

Man that looks heaps sick, looks so much more stable than Masterpiece Megatron. Can it transform? If not, it still looks amazing!

EDIT: I just re-read the title of the thread, I am an idiot. DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    cheers guys
ActionMaster is the kitbashers term for "can't be F#@*ed"

and forgot to mention the head, that was an odd bonus piece that came with the iGear Faith Leader. IMO it's got a real drawn manga style to it, and also has a very stern, youngish Megatron feel (see??)

Man that's coming together really well Mindset , are you going to aim for an actual AM Megatron colour scheme or something closer to his original colours?
Keep it up dude, I have a feeling this is going to come out looking fairly fantastic.

Thanks Hursticon. i'll probably go with a simple blend of cartoon, DreamWave and IDW color schemes - not that there's any difference coming to mind.
i guess the only reason i used the term 'action-master' is for the fact that it won't transform, it would have been just as vague saying 'oversized revoltech' megatron or something. there are a lot of elements to this build that don't necessarily reflect a pre-existing megatron, but as a whole, it's unmistakable

    thanks for looking

Wow, looks really good so far, I hope you managed to use junkers for that impressive list of sacrifices for this "Action Master".

do you have any concerns that the putty wont be able to support the lego joints in the shoulders over time?

A picture with leaders pointing out which bits come from shich figures would be very interesting if you ever get the time. How long did it take you to come up with the design considering all the differnt parts sources you have?

I love the torch, very inspired use of a non transformers product there.

    thanks for looking everyone! appreciated

Tabias, i use three different types of putty; GW/Ci Greenstuff , Plasti-Bond (styrene putty) and Knead-it (automotive putty) respectively.

Dallas, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate, of course i used junkers LOL the parts list is still increasing. i got a massive carton of bots from the legendary Wikkid mid last year, he tried to remove himself from the kitbash hobby, wow, that lasted! the only non junker was the Ultra-class Silverbolt which i had 2 of. also pilfered the MP Skywarp hands with a swap out for alternators wheeljack as that will be turned into my classics Broadside eventually.
re: lego and stuff - everything is welded into place with perma-poxy before being re-enforced with putty. as for design, it's a mash up of many different versions of G1 Megatron with a touch of what ever happened to be laying around that looked good, the rest is in my head and made it up as i went along. because it won't transform there's no tricky engineering to consider.
