Oh noes!!! Michael Bay killed my childhood again by changing the turtles look!


The Turtles get a makeover every time someone makes a new show or movie, so I'm really not to bothered. He does sorta look more like an 80's street tough which sorta makes sense really, and it does look a bit more like the sorta mishmash outfit of something that lives in the sewer.

The face mask looks ugly as hell though.

But seriously, pants?

What? You wanted to see his turtle junk? Have you not seen Scientifically Accurate Ninja Turtles on Youtube? You'll wish you hadn't. All turtles should be wearing pants after that.

I think they have dropped the "Teenage" from the title so that gets them out of the tattoo problem.

I expect a change in aesthetic every time we get anew turtles story but there is something off with what little I have seen. I liked the change in the Recent Nickelodeon series and loved the 2002 TMNT series and both of those were vast differences from the original.

Seriously though, I'm not excited for this film. Not pissed off, just not excited, pretty much how I felt about TF3 after seeing TF2. Maybe the trailer will change my mind, maybe it won't. *shrugs*

possibly just cheapening on the mask. The head is just plain plastic without detailing. Even with the scale details, it would still look bad.

Bay has some odd ideas and I don't just mean the new face but all the accessories he is sporting including the tattoo. He seems to completely disregard the history and what 'makes it tick' of whatever franchise he absorbs and literally does whatever he feels like.

These were probably thought up at the same time they were going to be aliens instead of mutants... so maybe it was going to be something comedic, to have aliens picking up on random, mis-matched human fashion elements (like gold chains, sunnies, tats, spandex ).

Though, if that was indeed part of his original "action-comedy" pitch of the movie's theme, unfortunately it didn't get dropped with the "alien" element.
