New Tradmemark filings from Hasbro

TFW2005 member Monzo has sleuthed out some of Hasbro's recent trademark filing applications at the United States Trademark and Patent Office.

Could just be Bot Shots or Lego Kreo, could just be reclaiming Trademarks on the verge of expiry, or could be new toys. I for one would really, really like a new Strika toy.

A new take on the BM Strika toy/character would indeed be awesome - The tough Fembot with a Russian accent is quite cool and very much transcends BM, IMO.

I have a feeling your right though Odey in that they're likely filings for Botshots/Kreo, but wouldn't it be awesome if they were filings for a swag of new Classicsverse figures?

i think it's just the Trademarks. I love seeing guys over there scrambling for any little piece of news they can get their hands on

In the past, we have seen toys within the year of new trademarks being registered/renewed, as it is an expensive exercise to just keep names and not use them. It's just fun to see some interesting names pop up and see what we end up getting if they use them.
After all the movie stuff, it's good to have something inspiring (classic) to hope for or guess at.

They've already lost the trademark for Vector Prime? Wha? How long do these things last?

Lessee, Wing Saber, and Vector Prime both from Galacy Force/Cybertron, already gone. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vector in the TFP cartoon, since it's supposed to be looking at waht makes a Prime.

Autobot Hound, wasn't that used for Classics/Universe Hound a couple of years ago?

Good to see Kickback in there. I was peeved when the re-release of the Insecticons had the names all funky and different. Blight wold be a good Insecticon name as well.

Oooh, I like those names TBH, except for Scattorshot.... I just hope the figures are as cool as the names.

I don't think application for renewal is the same as having lost the trademarks, is it? Isn't it like renewing your car rego or drivers licence etc. - i.e. it's about to expire so you apply for renewal?

Then that's more understandable if that is the case.
