Last year I did a trade with a guy in Canada... I sent him his toy via air mail which he received in about a week or so, he sent my toy to me via Surface (the cheapest option which still worked out to be really expensive) -- and it took months It took so damn long I was really scared that the Canadian guy had tried to pull a con... but it all worked out in the end. But yeah, not keen to trade w/ a North American again any time soon. (-_-)

I find USA is fine, USPS first class mail international is farily cheap for smaller packages and two weeks at the most.

That's my preference and never had an issue However many power sellers in the US would opt for USPS Priority Mail International which costs about double, as unfortunately USPS First Class International is not registered and the sellers are not covered against mishaps.

That's some tough luck there dude, hope you can get your money back promptly. The last time this happened to me it took Paypal a month to refund the money back into my card.

Yeah, I have to wait til 7 Oct to see if Seller replies. Oh well... you win some you lose some hey. I kind of felt that the Seller may not have been 100% honest when I bid on his items but I figured it was worth the risk since I really want a MISB G1 Megatron more than ANY other TF toy or collectable (the other one on my most wanted list was a 2008 BotCon SG Megs - which I now have ). I'm back to square one now and on the search again for a MISB G1 Megatron.
