It's in a neighbourhood where most parents are holding down jobs, many of them professional careers and day care is in high demand. We had to put our daughter on a waiting list the year before she started day care. Kids there are generally well behaved and motivated to learn. They listen attentively to their carers, follow instructions, know how to line up etc. Just last week I saw a white girl singing songs with a carer in English and Mandarin Chinese - they were singing in English at first, then I heard the girl say, "Okay, now let's sing in Chinese!" and she happily switched languages.
Funny how it works like that, isn't it?
