Transformers 30th Anniversary Masterpiece Fan's Choice

Whilst I imagine that Star Saber or Ginrai will likely garner the most votes, I would really-REALLY-REALLY like to see & own a Masterpiece Beast Convoy/Optimus Primal - I would then be completely satiated in my feelings towards Beast Wars' representation in the scheme of the brand's 30th Anniversary celebrations.

I totally agree, if Primal wins the votes this would open the door for a Masterpiece sub line and because Beast Wars had such a small cast it would be easier to complete the entire line.

I was abit disappointed with the size and scale of the first series (I still love the figures though) I would really like to see a MP Terrorsaur as the scout version has never done him the justice he deserves.

I actually think Powermaster prime could be the easiest one if they use the existing MP10 mould. Makes perfect sense. They are already using it for the Ultra Magnus prototype.

Fort Max Masterpiece would be bigger than my daughter, but serious, how awesome would that be...

This better just be a one-off thing for the anniversay. Don't really see a need to make Masterpiece figures for some of these characters. e.g. I don't see space for any substantial and meaningful engineering improvement on Fort Max. AND there's no way to make him in scale, which throws off this thing called scale they've finally established for MP.

On the other hand. An MP Primal will be soooo tempting...But again, scale could be a problem.

Believe it or not, but I actually have a similar thinking to a couple of the guys here -- that the Masterpiece line should remain for G1 characters only.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be one of the first to pre-order an MP Primal (Or Lio or Big Convoy for that matter) but truly I believe that BW-era toys are better served with homages in lines like Generations rather than larger MP versions.

So my vote (for what it's worth) is for Powermaster Prime.

I'd be up for a Fort Maxx, but my vote would go to Ginrai. Or Fattimus . How crazy would that be to make cool?

I don't think Beast Wars MPs would work so well. the beast modes would either be a brick (allowing no movement), or all gappy to allow for movement which would kind of suck. Unless they put a skin all over it somehow.

Only the robot mode would really look Masterpiece like. IF they opted for Transmetals, I think they would have more success.

Dai Atlus would make an interesting Masterpiece though.

I think Powermaster Prime would likely get it, because you have to remember that Japanese customers are going to be the ones who make up most of the votes... and Powermaster Prime (God Ginrai) was a major character in Japan.

Fort Max was also a major cartoon character in Japan, but since it has just been released as an Encore, there wouldn't be much desire to get a "better" version. Which is after all, the point of Masterpiece - to not only be a better version, but be the best version possible of that character with current engineering technology.

From Star Saber onwards you just don't have the same level of "classic/iconic" support of the characters, that the Gen1 series has had (with many later series deriving their concepts and characters from Gen1).
BW Optimus would be another one to do well in Hasbro Markets, but in Japan that cartoon was not a fan-favourite (if I recall) because of how it was turned into more of a joke show.

Basing it on the Japanese market, their fans (who will be voting), and the cartoons they got, I'd be really surprised if God Ginrai didn't get it. Star Saber and Fort Max would probably be fighting over a distant second place... but the rest don't have good odds of winning. (in my opinion)
