    The metallic blue used on his head, hips & forearms are a little distracting, apart from that however Whirl has never looked better and I'm REALLY glad to see he's retained his trademark "Gripper" hands.

    Interesting! It makes me think 3 things..
    - who will they repaint this into? Maybe even some remoulded bits like Springer.
    - the canopy has a hinge to open but this is not needed for transformation which is not that common.
    - he might be a bit hollow underneath in alt mode (you can see between his thigh and cockpit).

    I'll guess Spinister for the repaint.

    Possibly Blades? Or Rotorstorm? Maybe not Rotorstorm since IDW has already blown his brain module out, but then has Blades even made an appearance (was he part of the attack on Kimia? Cant remember)?

    Regular release. Mentioned (and seen?) at BotCon, but now SDCC has started a few more toys and drawings should start to be seen by the public.

    Apparently the new Scoop is on show too (according to Twitter) but no picture's shown up yet.
