Official launch of Linkin Park's Soundwave
The golden coloured Soundwave toy for Linkin Park's store SURU had a release party in LA, with band members in attendance.
Ending up with more of a caramel colouring with some shiny gold parts added, this set of figures (Soundwave, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Ratbat) is being sold at their store for US$150, but is already being found at other (mostly Asian) sources.
Even though this is being touted as a shelf-warming worst-redeco ever, it should be noted that the "urine coloured" Shining Ultra Magnus from 2001 was also considered the worst redeco ever, but can now command a hefty price (after spending nearly 10 years being near worthless - you could buy one for under $50, easily). The last one to sell on ebay last week was US$340.
