Thanks heaps guys, doesn't look like the box art fully matches up spot on, but I will attempt to do it the best I can.

I have a Topspin jumpstarter with a red face. Is he a Mexican version? I noticed there is a picture of Twintwist with a read face on Fred's Variants and wasn't sure if mine was as well. I'm pretty sure, I just want to hear others opinions.

According to the variations page, they're fakes. Heeeyyy... I used to have that 1985 oversized one! I got it from Chinatown (at that age I didn't know what KOs were - I just thought it was some other Asian transforming robot toy*) -- as the page says, they didn't even "jumpstart" -- just a manual transformation.

There is the usual stamp on the back in the usual spot, and the stickers are old and look legit. Don't think it is a KO.

I know the oversized jumpstarter you are talking about, I actually have one of them as well lol.

Does the voice actor signing a MOSC or MISB item add much value to a G1 item.... anyone know how/if these can be verified?

It doesn't because to a true MISB / MOSC collector, this is defacing the packaging.

There have been plenty of these sold on Ebay and the final price is on par with those that have no autograph.

The only way to verify a legit autograph is with a certificate of authenticity from a reputable and well known source.

People who are into autographs, would be willing to pay more, but auctions probably don't go high because it isn't a huge market (and so many toys have been signed over the last dozen years of various conventions, the concept has probably flooded the market by now).

If I were into Autographs, I would also make sure it has some sort of proof, as anyone could do a scribble on an Optimus Prime box and claim it is a Peter Cullen autograph. Most are fairly messy with their marker-pen signings, and wouldn't be too tough to replicate with another marker pen.

For someone who doesn't like autographs, I wouldn't even buy something signed, as it does deface the packaging/toy for me.

Yeah, I only get autographs for the pure novelty - and I wouldn't pay a premium for it. And I only get them autographed if I meet the person... feels like cheating if I buy it off someone else who got the autograph.

The only toys I've had autographed were:
+ Chewbacca (signed by Peter Mayhew)
+ Artoo-Detoo (signed by Kenny Baker, I gave that toy away as a bday present to my brother who's a massive Star Wars fan )
+ Animated comic book (signed by Eric Siebenaler)
+ Animated Oil Slick (signed by Eric Siebenaler)
+ "Goktimus Primal" (custom Transformers/Dragonball toy - signed by Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat)

...these were all personalities that I'd met in person, and yeah, purely done for the novelty not cause I think they'll increase the cost of the item. Except for Goktimus Primal which has increased 10000 times in value since being signed. Cos ya know, 10000 x 0 = ...

I'd agree with that. Autographs on books or graphic novels on the other hand is quite a different concept to me though. But like Gok, I'd only want an autographed item if I met the person face-to-face.
