The parents shed just blew apart in the current Perth storm, so I've been dealing with that for a bit. 3m x 2m metal sheets pose a bit of a risk if they get caught in the wind...

Almost had that happen to my folks shed too once. They were overseas at the time and the Neighbours had called the ses. A guy comes out said he'd grab some sandbags for me and never came back. Ended up filling some plastic bags with sand and threw them on the roof of the shed.

Turns out that was enough to hold the roof on.

    For the next three years!

Better response than I got from the SES; "We don't deal with sheds."

Between ripping down and flattening the shed panels and cutting the ropes that connected two fence posts and the shed lock, it was a pretty crazy experience!

Found out yesterday that I've got a two week hospital stay coming up.

    Sooooooooo boring.

Good chance to catch up on sleep and reading. assuming the reason for your stay allows you to hold a book and read it.

...and catch up on toy playing. I used to pack books when I went on long trips, until I realised that I just spend more time playing with the Transformer(s) I have on me that I don't do any reading at all. So now I just bring toys.

Try being a teacher - we have to be at school and work at the same time
