I feel like a little kid before Christmas....

Been watching my MOTU DVDs lately, and with the prolonged delay with BotCon registration, my interest drifted back to completing my He-Man collection.

The other day I sat down and had a quick look at Ebay to see what the market was like at the moment on 80s MOTU toys, and was so surprised at what I found and the prices, I went a little nuts in a matter of hours.

When I bought MOTU figures about 2 years ago, there was more interest with the cartoon and comic still being fresh, sending prices way up and I had trouble finding a number of playsets and figures. This time around, I found heaps to choose from, and at prices I was happy with.

The one I really wanted most - a complete Castle Grayskull
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=370376446302

    Complete Snake Mountain
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=180499134652

Complete Point Dread with Talon Fighter (actually attaches to the Castle playset)
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=360248401501

    Complete Fright Zone
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=360259771366

Complete DVD set of the 2002 MOTU series
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=140404634501

Original Skeletor (never found a good one cheap last time)
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=370371416496

    And a Webstor
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=360256714214

Plus bidded on a number of auctions to see if I get any cheap.

I'm just so excited, I'm just jumping out of my skin waiting for these to arrive. I couldn't even wait until they arrived to post here.

Even if I don't get anything at BotCon this year, I've got a whole heap of new toys to play with as a happy little toy collector.

Congrats on the MOTU acquistions griffin. Considering the condition that most of those are in, you got yourself some great bargains. Very jealous of that Castle Grayskull.

I always thought of branching out with my collecting habits, but I am so far into TF's that starting something new would always feel secondary to me.

Having said that though, I was a huge fan of MOTU back in the day. I still have several of my figures from when I was a kid. Unfortunately, He-Man lost his head some time ago (that darn rubber has a habit of breaking if twisted too often).

    congrats on the MOTU acquisitions!

I've always wanted a Fright Zone, but that price is a little too high for what I would pay. Good price on Snake Mountain though (usual issue with the cuffs broken off it seems).

Cool pick ups Griffin, I liked He-Man but not to the point where I wanted to get the figures. I only blow my hard earned cash on Transformers Microman and on the rare occassion Saint Seiya

I got the local library system to order The Secret Language of Destiny, since it's out of print and was never released in Oz it wasn't looking hopeful but they did it anyway!

Wooo nearly forgot, but I got my tickets to see Prince Of Persia next Monday. It can either go 2 ways, it can be really good, or it can be a massive fail

Well Ive had an interesting few weeks.... I got offered a full time job back at Telstra.. one that actually suits me. So no more sales or targets and all that junk. Just fixing computers, phones, lodging repairs, installing internet etc... Suits me just fine.

So after that I dicided that Id sell my dog grooming trailer.. which after putting new equipment in it and cleaning it up after buying it.. I managed to sell in less than 24 hours after listing it for $1500 more than what I spent on it.

So with my newly aquired $8,000 Ive dicided to go overseas... But yeah since the people who bought my trailer paid with paypal... i transfered it to my bank and its still floating around in cyberspace.. So when i used my visa debit card to pay for some sale fares on qantas... it was declined the next day.. oh noes T_T And if i didnt pay for the tix in 24 hours i was going to loose them... and pay 3 times as much to rebook and not get the flights i wanted.

.. I was stressing about it.. now Heres the highlight of the week - a guy at works aid "oh Ill pay for em.. you just pay me back" ... Like... O_O seriously?? who just offers someone $2800 loan?? He rang up and paid for my tickets so they are 100% solid confirmed.

So yes... im happy... i have joy... for once!

I haven't opened any Transformers for some time. My original ROTF Optimus Prime is still in his box along with most of the ROTF line. Last night I opened a whole bunch of my new figures and put them all into my database on my iPad. I think my enthusiasm for my collection has been renewed!!!
