    Congrats Paulbot,
Mrs UltraMarginal and myself managed to score ourselves a new Mortgage at Auction just this last Thursday night.
Nice 3 bedroom apartment in Marsfield. travel to work will be a bit for us both but it's a really nice apartment and area.

I think she'll be nesting pretty hard soon...

@sharky, that is one kickarse kitchen. looks like it's finally starting to come together!!

How much? How was the bidding experience?
First time I watched bidding, the first bid won.
2nd/last time, it was starting and it was over my budget already so I left.

Would you believe the wife to be jokes it's not big enough... I am starting to believe her. But she loves to cook and entertain friends and it is what she wanted. I think it looks huge. Should have the keys in about 4 weeks. Not long at all now!!

Enough to complete several very nice collections... several times.
the biddiing iexperience was OK, there was only one other bidder and she didn't really seem to know what she was doing. the agents were in her ear a lot and I feel that if she had stuck to her guns we might have saved $10 - $15 K but I still think we paid a resonable price, not a bargain but it's our mortgage now so a few grand here or there doesn't matter.

It may not ever be "big enough" that's like saying you don't have enough transformers yet but it will be a great kitchen for preparing all sorts of awesome food. I too love to cook, which is why it stood out to me.

Well done. I lost every auction I bid at (even though I went over my limit each time). Was so happy to be able to make an offer at private sale and have it accepted. I don't even like ebay auctions.

How much is strata? My partner doesn't want to pay for strata but homes in that area are super expensive.

What's reasonable in that area for a 3 or 4 bedroom?
    Congratulations!
