Thanks mang sculpting with putty really is one of those things that you can spend a ridiculous amount of time on. In order to get the side air vents nice and smooth/angled I sanded them using 600 grit paper, primed them then very lightly sanded with 1000 grit paper (did those last steps X3 before it looked the business).

One thing I find strange is the Tamiya 1000 grit paper has a lot more cutting power than the 1000 grit paper I bought from Bunnings (they look totally different too). You certainly have to be very careful when using the Tamiya stuff, don't use it when tired is my advice!

Thanks Hursti. I lost count of how many times I had to touch up the head due to getting black paint where it wasn't wanted. Glad to finally say it's done and I can leave that part alone.

I just put a second (the last) coat of gloss clear coat on the painted parts bar the head, so I'll be applying some nice black wash on the grey parts this Wednesday once it's fully cured. Stay tuned for more updates later in the week my friends!

Cheers gamblor. You know what, on this occasion I'm gonna give the black wash a miss and stick with just the dark grey. As such, here we have a half complete Guzzle!

I didn't realise Mindset was a bit short, but it looks like the scale with Prowl will work out quite nice.

Perfect scale for Guzzle, and once again your painting looks very smish!
