I wonder how they'll manage to sell what with Generations, RTS, 2010, PCC AND DOTM line still having to be released here!

That's why they made a TV series. Transformers cartoons are always fundamentally a series of toy adverts.Originally Posted by SkyWarp91

I imagine that they will be retools of movie toys since the body designs for several is very similar.
However due to their movie similarities, I suspect that they will 'compete' with the TF3 line so they may end up shelf warming.
Soon? That could been anytime this year knowing Hasbro.
Five small new Autobots sounds like deluxes, or a small line similar to Generations, at least to start with.
I'll believe it when I see it, I wonder though if there will be any chance of Hasbro establishing a uniform scale with the Prime line?
(Obviously these rumored figures don't fit that description)

The cartoon starts its regular screening soon (in America), so if there are just a handful of figures being released to cash in on the new cartoon, they may have been able to rush them through the design process, to get them out in the months before the movie... and then more after the movie 'season'.

You know that those would be the first toys released.
Aside from the faces, the bodies of those two characters are almost 1:1 with the movie models so there is no point in redesigning a whole new figure when there are already a dozen releases for each. All that it needs is a 'Frankenstainy' Animated type head on an existing ROTF figure and that's it to get a pretty accurate TF:Prime character representation.
With Arcee they could use the TF1 Arcee mold but with Bulkhead and Ratchet, they would need new molds if Hasbro wishes to go that far.
With the Decepticons, a Movie Megatron with a new head would do but new molds would be needed for Soundwave and Starscream.
