Happens to me too. Where are all the dumbarse no/yellow star noobs when I'm selling? They only appear when I'm buying. I hate them so much, they make my furious when they appear. Sure everyone has to start somewhere, but no, f them, I effing hate their guts. Damn noobs.

I used to make the mistake of selling starting at 99cents. "Oh that's how you garner interest". That's a load of crap, you just end up with one bidder, not worth my time.

So last time I sold stuff, I put everything starting at min of $5/$10. Guess what? Most sold. And those with one bid made it worth my time, as those items would have had only one bid anyway.

50 minutes spent driving to uni, to find that my only lecture for the day was on something that everyone doing an anthropology unit learned in highschool. 50 minutes spent driving back home thinking that I've spent over an hour and a half on the road just so I could sit at the back of a lecture theatre reading Dreamwave's War and Peace G1 series.

So it was time well spent, then.

Oh yay I see Jessica Watson is landing at Sydney this weekend. Rich kid sails around the world in an expensive yacht given to her by someone else. Who cares. It's laughable that now her local MP is considering putting her forward for the Young Australian of the Year Award.

She's sailed on a boat for a few months attempting but failing to create a world record. She's not bettered anyone's lives, she's not given to the community, in fact she's summarily failed to do what she set out to, negligently causing damage to another vessel along the way. The only thing "truly remarkable" about this 'feat' is how quick the Australian public is to embrace mediocrity and irrelevance.

I've composed this football ground esque chat in her honour.

The excessive marketting of this has only been to generate ratings and profit to the media covering it (and the sponsors), but we do need to still acknowledge that she may well be inspiring other kids (and adults) to take on tasks with impossible odds (no one thought she'd succeed).
Let her have her moment - but do like me and just avoid all the media over-exposure this is getting. Within a week, the media will move onto more important things and we can watch the usual violence and chaos on the news again...

I have no idea who she is...

Sounds like Schapelle Corby on a boat.
Which brings us to where we are today...
