If you look closely Wheeljack does have a shoulder cannon, though it looks a lot like the Tracks one.

I am going to have no money for the next 6/12 months.

Start saving now. That's what I did in the months leading up to the release of Revenge of the Fallen. I made a list of all the toys I wanted and how much I was expecting them to cost, then slowly put my money aside for them so that when they came out I just went on a crazy shopping spree and grabbed everything I wanted without going broke.
