    Ha!
A very good point there Liege, I don't know if I'll be purchasing six - but 1x Takara and 3x Hasbro releases sounds like quite an intriguing proposal.

I agree, the name does sound cool so it would be interesting to see if they have any plans for him in the pipeline.

I was just thinking that remolding Thunderwing into Black Shadow is kind of strange. Black Shadow was unknown to me until this popped up. Weird that they would go for a pretty obscure character, one that was only released in Japan.

Isn't it the opposite of strange, remoulding Thunderwing into the same toy he was originally remoulded into? Also, keep in mind that for Japanese markets, it's Thunderwing who's the obscure character. So for United, Black Shadow is the mould that makes sense - it's probable that was part of the Hasbro/Takaratomy plan from the beginning.

I suppose looking at it like that makes sense. Not complaining though, I will be buying both of these anyhow

Absolutely. I once had a Japanese Transfan who - when entering my collection room, went straight for toys like my 1988 Targetmasters (e.g. Quake, Quickmix etc.) and my 1989 Pretenders (e.g. Bludgeon, Thunderwing, Doubleheader etc.) and was totally amazed and drooling at these highly exclusive rare and obscure toys (from a Japanese POV)... much in the same way that Westerners would drool over say Dinoking.

    Default Generations Thunderwing Redeco/Remold Speculation?

For such a unique mold, if Hasbro are going to redeco/retool this toy who do you think will be released? I'm hoping Leozack!

This has already been discussed extensively here

The general consensus is Black Shadow
