Getting the toys isn't really the rant. I'm to scared to touch my G1's after a few breakages occured and that wasn't even from playing with them, just transforming them. I can just see what will happen in the hands of a child. I think it's great for the younger generation to enjoy what we enjoyed as children, /the toys are just so fragile.
My youngest bro & his pals broke most of my G1 tfs. Offer to buy newer tfs that are kid-friendly. We're willing to help take those G1s

I'm sorry to hear mate ,
It's never easy and I know what you mean about suddenly having a severe lack of motivation to do anything.
It took me 4 years after I broke up with my last GF to regain any sort of momentum or motivation and it sent me a little of the rails...

Point is though dude you need to talk it over with people you trust and do your best to put it behind you, don't let it consume you like I did.
Thanks guys, this is the reason I posted it here. I knew you would always be here to help out

I was on a bus today and during our hour long ride it started getting fuller and fuller until we ran out of seats and 3 women were standing. Am I alone in thinking that it's rude for a man to remain seated while a woman is standing?? Anyway, I gave my seat up for a lady -- and there were still other young men sitting down having a chat while 2 other women remained standing for the rest of the journey. As seats became available I remained standing and offered the empty seats to the other women and I only sat down myself when all the women were seated and another spare seat became available. It meant that I had to sit apart from my wife, but so be it. IMO it's just BASIC freakin' courtesy for a man to give up his seat for a lady. I've witnessed the same thing in Hong Kong on the MRT too... healthy young men remaining seated while elderly and female passengers are standing. Maybe it's just me, but I think that's bloody rude.

Having said that, while my wife was pregnant in Australia she said there were plenty of times when she was on a bus or train and even during the later stages of her pregnancy when she was very obviously pregnant, people still wouldn't give their seats up for her, even in the seats clearly labelled to be reserved for disabled or pregnant passengers. Evidently ill manners knows no bounds. (-_-)

There was an incident on a train over here. A pregnant lady wanted to sit and asked this kid/teen if she could have the seat. It was one of those seats reserved for elderly/prenant people. The teen didnt move and she threw up on him on the train lol. Then everybody around cheered and clapped! haha

I hate to generalize... but man... that's just lack of manners...what do parents do these days? Don't they teach their kids? I see so many children act and do as they please and the parents just don't seem to care or are too helpless.

I permanently broke up with my girlfriend of 3 years last night. It was for the best... Now I can't be bothered doing anything though.
Sorry to hear that dude - been there and done that (except mine was an 8+ yr relationship).

What I found was: the best way to get over a girl was to get under another one.

I never catch public transport so I've never had this predicament, but common sense and manners should tell you that it's poor form not to give up your seat - chivalry and manners is a lost art in this day and age unfortunately.

    Good on you Goki!

I'm glad to see that I'm not alone here in being brought up with manners such as giving up one's seat for a lady, I used to also stand when ever a lady entered a room until almost everyone one I did that for asked me why I suddenly stood up and told me that it looked weird.

Manners seems to be lost on a hell of a lot of under 25s these days, with those under 20 believing that manners and respect are foreign concepts.
(That's certainly not to say all though )

You get laughed at nowadays if you tell them to respect their elders.
