The coincidental thing is (NOT IRONY DAMMIT!) is that Furbys would constantly scream that they were hungry, even at night!

I will watch them! Don't you worry about that!
I still remember other parts of the movie, but they're just little bits and pieces. The flaming arrow in the spider is what I remember most vividly haha! That, and the guy who gives him Gizmo at the start.
Yeah that's fine dude, t'was only kidding but yeah - I reckon Hasbro was trying to go for a Mogwai toy when they came up with those horrid things but could just not quite acquire the rights to the likeness I guess.
I never had the dis-pleasure of ever owning one dude because back then, like now, I feel they were such a rip off attempt that I wanted to kill them - Kinda like the way I feel about WALL-E and Short Circuit's Johnny 5.
(Argh, showing my age now <Fends off the even older members with my walking frame> )

Ah good, I hope you do dude because they are awesome movies that could/should never be remade or rebooted because they were made in an era when things weren't Ultra-Realistic but people enjoyed and accepted that fact anyway - That era just can't be repeated or recreated IMO.

When you say "Gizmo was given to him at the start" - Are you referring to the scene where Billy finds him in the Old Chinese bloke's Antique Store or when Billy's Father goes into the Antique Store and the Old bloke describes the rules to him?

If it's the former?, it'd be the second movie, if the later?, it's the original.

Man, every one of those things I saw I wanted to put under my boot - even when they were on bloody store shelves!
I'm so glad that Hasbro gave the go ahead for Bay to blow a truck up baring an Advertisement for Furbys, they mention it in the Behind The Scenes segments too.
