Beachcomber rocks! I took my G1 Beachcomber to my own wedding. Then I took G2 Beachcomber to a friend's wedding last year. Then earlier this year I took Universe Beachcomber with me to Taiwan for another wedding, but then I left him in my hotel on the day! (d'oh!) Oh well... next time I go to a wedding I'll bring my Univ. Beachie.

I had two weddings as well, but no TF's involved. One in Oz one in Guangzhou. Are you still in Sydney. Have there been anymore conventions since the first one? I hope so, it was so good and the community has such a great bunch of people.

Yeah, still in Sydney. griffin organised another convention in 2006 called OzToyCon and we had an OTCA stall at the SMASH! anime convention in 2009. But OzToyCon was the last full TF convention in Australia.

There's another member (SilverfromOz) who's been talking about organising another convention... haven't heard from him in some time though. <shrug>

Good luck to him though. I don't have the time to organise any more cons... too busy indoctrinating my daughter in the true path that is Transformers.

Technically Revenge of the Fallen's Soundwave voice is actually Welker's pure Soundwave voice. The G1 cartoon heavily digitised his voice (which Welker disliked) - 'cept for one moment in the episode "Roll For It" where Welker's voice isn't modified, and it sounds just like Soundwave does in ROTF.

That's true Goki, but IMO whilst Welker may not of liked the Edited voice over work he did for G1 Soundwave it is what made Soundwave so memorable and has helped to cement the character, the ROTF voice work sounded like the Cave of Wonders or Krulos was delivering the lines.

Dr. Claw sounds like Soundwave and Inspector Gadget sounds like Maxwell Smart. (at least in the English dub -- remembering that l'Inspecteur Gadget was originally French)... considering that we haven't heard what TF Prime Soundwave sounds like yet (so far we've only heard him playback other characters' dialogue) - it'd be neat if they could get Welker to provide his Dr. Claw voice for Soundwave, then introduce TF Prime Blaster and get Steve Carrell to voice him using his Agent Smart voice.

Soundwave: "You missed, muahahaha!"
Blaster: "Missed you by that much!"

Soundwave: "You cannot escape. You are completely surrounded by 12 crack Decepticon warriors."
Blaster: "Would you believe that those Decepticons themselves are surrounded by Wreckers?"
Soundwave: "No."
Blaster: "How about Optimal Optimus and his Maximals?"
Soundwave: "That's implausible."
Blaster: "Would you believe a disgruntled Rock Lord?"
