    Default G1 Jetfire MIB

    Anybody on here buy this

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190715859...84.m1438.l2649

Is this what these go for now ??. I wouldn't have minded buying one but for not for this price.

That's insanely ridiculous. The guy could've bought the jetfire at the Parra fair for $500 + shipping

The guy who won only has a reputation of 1. Shell bidder?

Shell bidder, is that logging on as a different name to jack up the price?

In any case I'm glad they're not that expensive.

Still $500 is going to have to wait a while.

    "Prototype" Bat Optimus Primal

I'm slightly dubious that this is actually a Prototype. It seems to be just a Bat Primal that has had the paint removed from its head.

    BotCon '97 Fractyl and Packrat

Would I like to one day own such a piece? Sure, yeah, it's an interesting piece of history.

But how can it possibly be worth $700? That's $350 for each basic sized figure!

If that's the case, are they not the most expensive Basic sized toy ever?!

$350 per basic is about what those would be worth these days. Still, $350 for each one is cheaper than the 1994 & 1995 BotCon toys... which admittedly were twice as rare, but half as small.
And with more recent BotCon toys getting close to the $1000 mark, imagine how expensive it would be to collect all BotCon toys.

It's crazy mad! There was a time I was considering getting the '06 DOFP Set, but $1k for Megatron?! You've got to be kidding. I mean I'm pretty big BW fan, but I'm not that much of a fan.

Some of the Beast-related BotCon figures are almost justifiable. $80-100 for an Onyx Primal. $150 for a TM Tigaton. Windrazor and Sandstorm seem to have come back down in price a bit.

Is it scalpers pushing the prices up to these ridiculous levels? And what was this whole thing with Soundwave's headband from this years Convention?
