    Default Generations Voyager Sandstorm confirmed?

Apparently there may be a Sandstorm figure coming out this year which will NOT be a recolour of Springer. This is going by the box art on Metroplex and also Hasbro's live customer chat. Fingers crossed!

Seibertron has an article about it here: http://www.seibertron.com/transforme...e-works/26715/

comparing the boxart to springer's helicopter mode - it looks like there's some extensive retooling. to me the cockpit and most of the front really looks mostly the same.

I just hope he doesn't have the toy's ugly faceplate in robot mode. Give him the animation/comic model's proper face (or the option to switch faces like Blitzwing).

I think it'll be a cyberverse toy, all the other figures on the front of the box look like cyberverse figures also. and that's the size class metroplex is supposed to scale with.

but hey, hopefully it leads to a new mold sandstorm at the voyager size also.

EDIT the listing they saw on the Hasbro Live customer service chat specifically said Voyager class.

hopefully we get both cyberverse and Voyager

That's good. I was considering the buggy scout class figure but this seems like the better way to go.

Well to my knowledge, we haven't had a triple-changer Sandstorm since G1, so I'm very excited about this toy - especially if he is a Voyager class! Sandstorm was the first triple changer I got back in the day - now all we need is a triple-changer Broadside and we will have new official versions of all 6 of the 85/86 triple changers

A small blurry copy of the back of the box to Sandstorm, from an Asian site listing upcoming Hasbro HK releases.
The release date listed is for Springer & Blitzwing, so no date appears to be listed for Sandstorm, but is the next wave, which should be within 1-2 months.
