BBTS now has him up for preorder for $109.00. The preorder was not suppose to be up until the first of july, but because Amazon got theirs up early BBTS followed suit. This a good buy if you have pile of loot on and already have items awaiting postage.

They told me that they had brought in about 200-240 to BotCon, but look to have only sold about a quarter.
I think they over-priced them, expecting a lot of people would be jumping on them to be the first with a Metroplex... but in the end, most people probably saw it as not being worth paying an extra 50% just to get it 2 months early.

I was a bit surprised that they didn't sell out, or even half... considering the hype that was with this figure.

I think the trouble involved in transporting and storing that thing may have been a factor.

They only sold about a quarter on the first day, but sold the rest on the second day, which is when non-preregistrants were allowed in.
Looks like the more dedicated fans (pre-registrants) were willing to wait 2 months to get them a lot cheaper because they knew about it... while the less dedicated "walk in" crowd were keen to get the big new toy at what they probably thought was the normal price.

They have him for pre-order for $110 from BBTS, then $65 for shipping.

I'm assuming if you have a big enough POL that price will drop a fair bit. If the rest of mine come in I'm gonna have a whopper!

Edit: Ah, I see orionpax1 has already said the same thing

I guess I'm interested to know what is the normal price and how much less it would be compared to botcon price from griffin's comment.

For Americans, US Retail pricing is recommended to be $125, but apparently Walmart(?) is going to sell it for $90... making it a lot less for Americans than the $150 BBTS were selling at the Convention.

Typically in the US they announce a price and then right at the release of a popular figure there will be some online coupon for 10 ro 20% off. For example with MP-10 release the prices varied from $85 to $115 depending on if you had a coupon. The timing has to be right. Lots of times I simply had to go back to the shop to purchase and return a figure to capitalize on any discounts.

Though it all depends on the distribution though. I would expect that Metroplex will trickle into stores, but then several months later be found available...that is unless the scalpers get involved.

Preordered mine on BBTS already, along with a bunch of other stuff so my POL should bring down the shipping costs quite a bit.
