That's my main complain about seeing numerous 3rd party takes of the same character(s). It's all good for consumer choice but while they are doing a 3rd Predaking, why not do something else like a Piranacon, Defensor or Monstructor?

    Bot-mode pics of TFC's not-Headstrong and not-Rampage up at Tformers.com.

Quick thoughts: They look pretty good IMO - not enough to bump off MMC as my #1 not-Predaking choice but still pretty good. Much fuss is being made of not-Headstrong's new alt-mode head placement in robot mode on the TFW2005 boards, but it looks alright to me. Not-Rampage's alt-mode head seems kind of large in 'bot mode. The light-piping looks great, and the lower legs are nicely kibble-free.

If the MMC Predacons didn't exists, I'd probably go for these over the other third party company. They seem to have a good mix of classic and new. I really like Rampage's tiger head sculpt.

+2 - For many of the reasons you've expressed Zed, if TFC's Predacons end up being comparatively cheaper than the other 2 Mob's iterations and the build quality of them is up there - I may just simply go for these.
(I'd prefer MMC's but they're just WAY too expensive at the moment. )

They look pretty average. Headstrong is terrible. Probably won't be as overpriced as their usual combiner releases, given that UT and MMC have their own versions of Predaking up for grabs

I'm getting much more of a Zoids vibe from these than other offerings.
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

I think the individual figures and alt modes look great, but that foot is a bit underwhelming.

Anyone else getting a serious Rhinox vibe from Conabus?
