Not entirelyI think that's just my mistakeHe was released as MP11A to TRU Japan. Not a new release with the traditional black box, but his designation follows their numbering system
From memory there was no change to his deco

I was trying to look up something on it, but could only see the announcements of it coming to Japan, but had trouble finding anything to say that it did end up getting released.
If it did get released, and the packaging actually makes a note of MP11A, it might count as something different, at least for people who buy packaging variants.
But if it just had a JP TRU exclusive sticker on it, it'd just be like other Hasbro imports they've had over the years.
