yeah i am not to impressed with the look of them either but i can see the appeal for the younger kids, small easy to turn to bot, a bit over priced tho.

the quick change ones look like a new version of activators.
The deluxes, look ok... I won't have more opinion till I get my shipment from Anime Export later this month.

They are. $22 isn't chump change & i can see some price conscious parents considering options like a similarly priced Lego set instead

We're still waiting on the deluxes also, along with the other flip change, titans etc

i honestly think these should fall in the $15-$16 dollar price bracket hell they should really be under ten they look that nasty but even then at $15 the Ninja Turtle Figures are better value....

$22 is too close to the duluxe pricing for value/playability comparisons

I heard a rumour that BigW might be $19 for the One-step, which is about the same price as the GEN Legends 2-packs.
As we saw with the Robot Replicas from the first two movies, Hasbro prices by size rather than complexity (perhaps the cost of design is negligible next to the cost of construction/labour/transport).
The Robot Replicas were just lumps of plastic with about 5 moving parts that didn't transform, but were the size of a Deluxe, so were priced like a deluxe.
The one-steps are close to the (now smaller) size of Deluxes, so it is actually surprising that they are so much cheaper (almost a third off the price of Deluxe).

the robot replicas were pretty solid as well though so there may have been a lot more material in them for the same apparent external volume.

I noticed last night that Kings Comics in the city are selling these transformers playing cards for $9.95
