The worst thing can happen is this piece looks bad and then they come out with 02 Red and orange and it looks good. lol

Can't say I'll go and buy it, but I'll admit it has some sort of novelty appeal. Making the Matrix crystal red like an Angel/Eva core was a nice touch

Any idea who the repainted Spike figure is meant to be? The paint scheme doesn't look quite right for a Nerv tech.

I'd still like to see if any media comes out of this. Just for fun, look at the Eva heights compared to G1 Optimus (Evangelion height hasn't exactly been consistent):

The detail on the trailer is nice. But that's about it.

Not too impressed. Seems like a waste of a usage of that mould, particularly at that price. It's almost like they are desperately looking for themes to release toys in this year.
The colours remind me of the competition Optimus toy years ago, that was produced to match the colour-scheme done by a 7 year old.

I'm not bothered by this piece, it's not for me & I wont be getting it but it's certainly far from the worst concept for an Optimus Prime toy...
