There is a tell in the packaging: one says "Featuring the REAL Movie Voice" that's the Peter Cullen one

    See here

Hi can we get someone to post the differences between:

    1) Hasbro Universe Silverbolt / Takara Universe Silverbolt
    2) Hasbro Universe Onslaught / Takara Universe Onslaught
    3) Hasbro Universe Powerglide / Takara Universe Powerglide

Photos of packaging and figures will be greatly appreciated. Tks

I've got the TF:TM "special edition" madman 2 disc release and I noticed that when Optimus takes out the cons in autobot city I noticed there is no noise when he fires his weapon.

    Anyone else notice this?

    Silverbolt
    Hasbro
    - Light grey plastic on jet, lower arms and legs
    - Burgundy torso
    - Bright red biceps, landing gear and missile
    - Dark grey shoulders, thighs and head

    TakaraTomy
    - Bright white plastic on jet, arms, legs and head
    - Red torso, biceps landing gear and missile

    Onslaught
    Hasbro
    - Green/grey plastic
    - Black head with silver decos
    - Single pulse siren (defective)

    TakaraTomy
    - Dark blue/green plastic
    - Green/blue head with silver face plate (like the cartoon)
    - Siren will now play as long as you hold down the button (fixed)

    Powerglide
    Hasbro
    - Predominantly white plastic with red trim

    TakaraTomy
    - Reverse coloured, so it's red plastic with white trim

Packaging is exactly the same. USA Edition just means they don't want to make new Japanese packaging.

Damn. Onslaught is the only one I was prepared to skip, as it wasn't different enough with the colours to me. The sound feature on the Hasbro one sucks though, as I figured it was meant to have a longer sounding siren.

Thanks for the list though FFN, as I saw the request, but wasn't keen on trying to find the answers, or guess at them without having the JP ones yet to compare.
