It's to do with the tightening of replica gun laws early last year just before the release of MP-5.

Two primary reasons:
1. Replicas being modified into actual working firearms. (Mainly airsoft type guns).
2. An increase in the use of replica pistols in hold-ups and causing intimidation.

Given that Black Megatron is the correct size and the actual color of a real Walther P-35 it could prove more difficult to obtain than Masterpiece MP-5 Megtron.
