Playing LoZ: Breath of the Wild it took me a whole day to find the village I needed to get to, so weird to not have everything spoon fed to me like in a lot of other loz games (looking at you ocarina of time!)

That said all of it contributes to a good gaming experience.

90% downloaded so far. I wonder if Nintendo's Switch eshop servers are just slow in general or are they getting slammed by everyone trying to download Zelda.

I think they are getting slammed. Mine literally updated in less than 5 minutes at around 2am after the midnight launch.

That's bizarre. Wonder what would cause that. Now I have to check mine

I've been getting messages saying "These PSN codes totally work and they're free blah blah blah" so I reported 2 of them for being spam. Get a message back from Sony saying abuse of the reporting feature can cause my own account to be banned. I mean, wtf? Did they even look at the messages I reported? I gave up after that and just delete them. But they still come through, coz people are thick enough to click on the links

So I've been playing Zelda since it finished downloading not long after my last post, that last 10% of the download went quick so it might just have had to install at that point. Anyway I have a SSB Link Amiibo, the one that is meant to give you Epona when you scan it the first time, but I never got Epona. Has anyone seen anything on the web conclusive about why Epona is not appearing for some users and how to fix it? I really want Epona.

EDIT: Just tapped SSB Link for todays free items and I got Epona! YAY!!!

The overwhelming opinion of critics and also most people I've spoken to that have played it is that it's not just one of the best games in recent years but it's one of the best games of all time. It's cool to see OOT is the greatest going by critic reviews.

It appears that you get somewhat randomised things. Probably to extend the fun factor of the Amiibo otherwise it literally becomes a one trick pony.
