I've cancelled my ToyFare subscription after 11 years... there's nothing in there that you can't find on the internet and they don't really do toy reviews anymore - everything's just spotlighting new toys. And their jokes aren't that funny anymore either.

Nope. We missed both Combat Heroes, which was a shame, because CH Optimus was in the Gen2 comic (at the end), and at the time I was mostly only collecting the Gen2 toys that were in the comic.

Not having a purple tank megatron wasn't a great loss though...

Japanese imports of Combat Megatron were easy to find here for some reason.

I got bored and started watching the first episode of Beast Wars Neo.

Now I've stuck Big Convoy and Magmatron on my wish list. The former because he's a woolly mammoth and more heavily armed than Brawl, and the latter because he's got three beast modes all of which are prehistoric reptiles. And I love prehistoric beast modes.

While I'm not going to go on eBay or something and buy them right now, I'm curious about how much I'd have to pay for each of them. I suspect Magmatron would be cheaper, given that he was re-released (with no changes, despite being labeled as a Maximal!) as part of the Beast Machines line, so I'd go for that.

i paid about $80 for mine from a fellow collector, a japanese version-the sword is sharper and not neutred for silly choke me children, its a super fun toy, the Seasaur module is the best in my opinion.

His appearance in the IDW comics also upped the appeal to me to fork out such a large some for this figure, plus i dont think he was released here.

Woolly mamoth prime, the toy doesn't excite me, but i might buy it soon cause of the IDW comics

SilverDragon: The Beast Wars Neo toyline is nice. They're all really nice moulds and feature a diverse range of beast modes with some unique choices. Mach Kick and Archadys were also based on fan designs! The TV show is mostly quite bland - but it does get interesting toward the end when the Blentrons appear. But it's kind of a snooze-fest up to that point.
