    Default WIP: Master Blaster

No it's not a new song by Stevie Wonder... I made a start on my Masterpiece Blaster.

Nobody wanted to buy my spare MP SW so I decided to turn it into a MP Blaster. My wife went out for dinner with her girlfriends tonight so I thought I'd get started and as it turns out.... I got HEAPS done.

It still needs some head sculpting and painting, buttons added to his pelvis, speakers added to his shins, and heaps of minor detail painting but you can definitely get the picture. Tape door obviously still works perfectly well. It was a perfect fit over the original door. The head was a bit trickier with plenty of carving down the neck and inside of the head but the end result is also a perfect fit. He even has a tight grip on the gun.

Enough talk.... more pictures.... the photos don't show the colour very well but his torso and arms had a coat of silver, a coat of yellow, followed by a coat of red and the final colour is a good match for the original.

Hopefully I'll get the rest finished by the weekend and I'll post some more pics.

    Enjoy.

    Not bad so far.

But I was expecting something more like this.

I didn't think it would actually look different enough from Soundwave, but it does. Anyway all things considered you did an amazing job lad. Amazing.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm not sure what to do with the speaker parts. I'd like to fit some sort of hinge part so that they could swing around from one side of the leg to the other - so that they could be in the right position in both modes - but I don't think there is room as I'd like to use the G1 parts and they only just fit. I could make them attach via a peg that fits into a hole on each side or I could use magnets. Anybody here have any ideas for how they would go about it?

See, now as a custom I can completely get behind this as you've done an amazing job Stencilator!
(Conversely, that 3rd Party piece of thievery just grinds my gears! )
