Following on from my post regarding the MK HD Kollection (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=187547&postcount=249), I found this pic which is a fan-made HD rended scene (http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/8341/mortalkombat2hd.jpg) from MKII.
If the actual game looks half as good as this, I'm gonna be one very happy camper :D:D:D

Cool, congrats on the award...what's the diff between assistant editor and a sub- editor??? just curious
snaketales
6th November 2010, 03:21 PM
We don't have assistant editors here so I can't say what the difference is.
With my company sub-editors do newspaper layout i.e fit stories and pictures in the spaces left by ads, check the stories, make sure they fit and make sense and write the headlines.
The editors here tell us what stories and pics to put in the first place (and we often have to tell them they don't fit).
In newspapers I guess assistant editors help editors... maybe on larger papers?

Congrats guys, good to see some good results.
Anyway, I'm happy right now because Alice Cooper have finally being Inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame. Long overdue IMO, they deserved it a long while back. Wish they had before Glen passed away, but at least the rest are still here. Wonder what they will play, most likely Elected :D

I think I have something similar, I got some cables to convert VHS to USB. Haven't tried it out yet, but it shouldn't be too hard to get done.

What 1AZRAEL1 has described will work - pending your PC has the resources and the software to do it, also one has to bare in mind that the process takes as long to perform as the footage's duration and then some because it then has to be transcoded into DVD format, not to mention all the space you'll need for all the equipment.
That is why Goki, you'll find you're being quoted at $10 a disc because the process takes quite a bit of time, though the process itself is considerably simple. :)
My father had some old SLSLS (http://www.slsls.asn.au/) and Go-cart footage on 16mm that ran for a little over 10mins that cost him $60 to put on DVD as they had to 'rip' it from the old film, clean it of artefacts and the like frame by frame and then transcode it to DVD - the whole process took about 3 days. :o
Oh yeah, just to clarify dude, when I said 'Digitally Relocating' - I meant something slightly different... Downloaded ;)

I've transferred all my favourite VHS movies to DVD. All I used was a DVD Recorder and hooked up my VCR. The only problem I have encountered is when the VHS tape is copy protected, then it won't work.
I've done some wedding videos for friends / family as well. Just loaded it on the PC after conversion to add menus and stuff. It works really well.

Decided I would take a "tour" around Sydney and hit up as many shopping complexes and department stores as possible in one day. I started in the hills district and travelled down south to Campbelltown and headed east to Sutherland shire and all the spots in between. Didn't get everything I wanted but still managed to score some good stuff!
But what was cool about the overall experience was that I don't have to run it by anyone. I can just simply leave whenever I want and go wherever I want and take however long I want. Was a great feeling!

An in-ground pool maybe, but what about a snazzy above ground or inflatable pool? :D
An above-ground pool?, unfortunately not because of the weight that they carry when filled. :(
The pipes are quite shallow, roughly 4-6ft we're told, and there is about 6-7 other house's sewerage lines that join to the Princes Highway's main Sewer line immediately running North-South under my backyard.
As these pipes are pushing 80 odd years old and the ground is clay 30cm below the surface, we've been told that due to weight restrictions we can't have a fixed/permanent above ground pool. :(
Interestingly enough, there isn't a property along the eastern side of the street that has a pool for 500m North or South of us, part of the old practise of draining creeks and throwing pipes in them.
An inflatable pool has often been considered, but then the problem then lies in it's storage when not in use. :(
It is a good thing though that we've got a community pool within 15mins walking distance and the ocean within 15mins driving distance. :D

Thanks 5FDP but yes The_Damned brings up a very good point. My pool actually took 18 months to build and was an absolute nightmare. Blue Haven really screwed us over so yes I am lucky in a way but as great as the pool is I will always have a sour taste in mouth because of what Blue Haven did to me

Was at Soundwave yesterday, the bands I saw all kicked ass. Rob Zombie, words can not explain how awesome he was. Seeing Super Charger Heaven played live, I literally lost my shit. My neck doesn't like me right now, but damn it was great. And the other highlight for me was seeing Dimmu Borgir for the first time in Oz. Lost my voice during that set, but eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D

Reason is as good a DAW as any, although I recommend at least trying the Ableton Live Suite 8 demo to see if it better suits your workflow. I've used Ableton for a few weeks now and it's one of the most intuitive software package I've ever used, it's brilliant!

its caled Synvisc, and its about 400 bux an injection, it is an artificial material similar to the fluid inside the cartlidge which since i have no cartlidge it coats the bones and protects them as well as reducuing the pain from arthitis and the various other damage i have down there, it is also used alot in elderly Arthirtis sufferers
its a test as i am one of the first in the country/world to try it with the amount of damage and ACL Reco graft in the knee
should last about 10-12 months in theory and will reduce the amount of surgery needed.

Yeah a work mate has the same problem......35 years old and needs a knee replacement but is deemed too young because you apparently can only have two replacements in a lifetime and they want to wait till he is older. Just leave them in a terrarium type enclosure with plenty of water and sphagnum moss and they take care of themselves. You don't even need to feed them either.
