Default Kre-O Regular Retail Prices in Australia

I promised this some time ago, and it took a while to go around to look for any prices that weren't posted here.

These are regular retail prices, not sale prices or introductory prices (or even Online prices, as TRU have higher prices online, probably to cover their "free shipping" offers... despite it being cheaper for them to sell online).

I have also included the different known Toyworld prices, as they are a franchise chain, so prices vary from store to store.

All prices are in AU$, except the US retail price which is in US$ (listed for comparison).
? means price is still unknown, or may not be sold at that chain. (please help out if you can)
    * means item not sold at that store chain.
RED are the cheapest price for each item.

    Kreo---- USprice - BigW - Kmart - Target - TRU - Toyworld - Myer - DJs

    Big OP--
    - -60 - - 98 - - - 99 - - 129 - -100 - - 129-135 - 149 - -- *

    Sentinel
    - -40 - - 79 - - - 79 - - -79 - - 80 - - - 80 - -- 100 - -- *

    Megatron

    Starsc--
    - -30 - - 59 - - - 59 - - -59 - - 60 - - - 60 - - - 80 - -- *

    Big Bee-
    - -25 - - 59 - - - 59 - - -59 - - 50 - -- 50-60 - --80 - --60

    Sidesw--
    - -20 - - 49 - - - 49 - - -49 - - 40 - - - 50 - - - 60 - -- *

    Jazz----
    - -12 - - 20 - - - 20 - - -22 - --25 - - -- * - - - 30 - -- *

    Mirage--
    - -12 - - 20 - - - 20 - - -22 - - 20 - - - 20 - - - 30 - -- *

    Small OP.
    - -8 - - 15 - - - 15 - - -15 - - 15 - - -15-17 - - 20 - --17

    Small BB.
    - -8 - - 15 - - - 15 - - -15 - - 15 - - -15-17 - - 20 - --17

(I wanted to do this up in some sort of table, but this is about as good as I can get with this board's posting options... hopefully the layout doesn't get too screwed up on your browser)

I was actually surprised to see that the TRU website was selling their Kreo at much higher prices than in-store. Shouldn't it be the same price, or even cheaper if they don't have as many expenses as an actual store?
For example, the Big Optimus is $130 compared to $100 in the store. Megatron is $70 compared to $60 in store. Prowl is $40 compared to $30 in store. And even the small sets are $18 compared to $15 in store.

    An excellent list Griffin.

Wow, Myer really needs to take a look at itself - profiteering much?

I'm quite sure Jazz is the same price as Mirage at Target. I also bought Prowl from Target but I can't remember how much I paid. I might be going to Target today so I can investigate so Target can be complete.

for some reason, their cost prices are as much as other retailer's sale prices

i tried to price match leader ironhide at $65-69? when it first came out and myer said they couldn't do it as it was below their cost price. I was like wtf? how do you make money on toys then?

    it was really ridiculous.

    Target
    - Ratchet $39
    - Prowl $39
    - Jazz - my local store had none left but I remember Jazz was the same price as Mirage.

Added in the above prices, and I checked out a Myer & DJs today with Christalcase to fill out the rest of the table.
If you find something at a store chain that is listed above as not stocking it, please post here and it will be added.

I also just highlighted the cheapest price of each item in RED, to make it easier to spot.
(I noted the two cheapest prices for Ratchet because the cheapest was only at some Toyworlds)

Christalcase and I also noticed that several stores had Hasbro displays of the large Bumblebee & Optimus in display cases (at Target, Myer, TRU). It had their robot modes done up on a diorama-type setting, with cardboard cut-outs of their vehicle modes next to them. No Kreon mini-figures where included, which seemed a shame, as they are a fairly big marketting point on these sets.

I generally find that Myers prices are at least 5% generally 10% or more above the RRP/what most stores stock items at. whether they purchase at a higher price(which is oddon both sides of the fence) I can always find the same item cheaper somewhere else. unless it's an exclusive of some sort.

but like the others said Griffin, nice list, well sorted.

Added in Myer prices, after finding a store that stocked all 12 sets. As expected, none are equal or less than the best prices.

Had the same issue with Cars when BigW had their sale. Myer wouldn't price match.
