Default Movie Barricade car on ebay

With a few days left, and at a price of about $50,000, it hasn't reached reserve yet, so the owner certainly wants a fair bit for it.
The listing has a heap of nice photos though, which have been mirrored here (for when the ebay auction expires).

As much as people dislike the movies, that would be an awesome piece of history to own. Barricade was my fav character from the first movie, the first movie toy I bought, and I even got to meet him in person a few years ago

Man, the import charges on that beast would be incredible but the sad thing is that it'd likely never see the grit of the road if the RTA got it's eyes anywhere near it.

I think it's only about 5 to 10 K to import a car including changing over the driver side to the "correct" side. not sure exactly how much but I have heard of people importing certain US cars and converting them as it's cheaper than buying them off the floor here.

You know, that doesn't actually surprise me one bit.
Swapping the steering over would make Barricade a fairly awesome daily-driver... Wouldn't want to be paying the Petrol cost though, nor the insurance or rego either.

An actual production-used vehicle would be a pretty cool thing to have... although I don't see the buyer using it for the daily commute

I suspect it'll be used by the new owner as a display piece, or maybe being used on special occasions.
