Were you in Melbourne for Armaggedon Griffin?
It was on the agenda if I had time (would have been nice to see some of those Sci-Fi guests), but didn't... it was a very packed 24 hours driving across most of Melbourne, from the airport to Richmond and back again (contending with all those crazy Melbourne drivers too... ).

You mean new G1 TF made by China that isn't officially a TakTom/Hasbro Reissue and doesn't 100% look like the real thing? Than no, it's a KO.

Legit store selling TF who's description is made in China. Not sure if it has Taktom/Hasbro labels/tags. I've only seen picture of the cover box.

The store should just say it's a KO. The catalogue was so small it was hard to tell.

Are there any legit TFs made in China in the 80's/90's?

Pounce, Wingspan, Fastlane and Cloudraker are all legitimate Clone Transformers released in China in 1987 and legitimately released as Chinese reissues in 1993.

This is where Drift fits into G1.

Both times Drift has been used by IDW*, he's been introduced with a mixed cast of early Gen1 and post-movie Gen1... so it's up to you I guess, as to which bunch of toys it looks better with.

    * the regular comic and the Robot Heroes book.

Little-known fact - according to IDW's G1 retcon, Drift was actually the first Junkion. As such, he can only be appropriately displayed in your garbage. Then, someday this week, shortly after the Junkion festival known as 'bin night', Drift should miraculously appear at your local Junk Planet diorama where he truly belongs.

Enough with the (creative) Drift hate. It doesn't respond to the query here, so is off-topic.
