But just because items aren't released here, doesn't mean we ignore them to the point of saying the toys are secondary overall.
It changes the local market, but not the whole world's, and is not an intended consequence really. It's in Hasbro's overall interest to sell as many toys as possible, after all.
Likewise, both Hasbro and retailer buyers vastly overestimated demand for DOTM toys. The bubble burst.
It sucks, but it's not necessarily indicative of the overall health of the brand, which is (thankfully) larger than just one area of weakness.
