I hear you dude, the Original movie is one of my all-time favourites, that and I think James Spader is an acting Genious, but the SG1 series started getting a little.. off? after it's 3rd season for me. SGU I really dug as it was a completely different approach yet still directly tied to the previous series.

Oh man, I and my family used to watch that religiously as a kid - the concept was truly original and ahead of it's time, now everything adopts the Multiverse theory.
