well as expected the auctions on ebay a few weeks back selling tfc combiners etc for peanuts was a scam.. i now have 8 santa hats and no transformers i am around $400 plus out of pocket and have spoken to paypal and lodged claims

If you're within 45 days (I think) you should be without issue.

Anything (pre-order, etc) that I haven't received, I open a dispute, explicitly stating to the vendor that I'm doing it to protect myself, and once the item arrives, I'll close it. If you've got a dispute open past the cut-off window, then you're still protected.
