I have just finished reading the articles on TFWiki about TM2 Megatron, Optimal Optimus and TM2/Fuzor Tigerhawk which describes the dropping of the 'Spark Figure' gimmick by Hasbro.

I had always wondered why these figures seemed to contain cockpits but no pilots and stumbling upon these articles on TFWiki, answered a Decade long question for me. That being said though, I was surprised to learn that there were a few examples of the Cryotek (TM2 Megatron) repaint that actually included a 'Spark Figure' produced by TakTom and Hasbro.

Does anybody know of a picture of this 'Spark Figure' they could share?, or better yet an example of one in their collection?

I have seen this picture though:

For what it's worth Geoff Hursticon, having owned all of the Beast Wars versions of those figures (ie all three but not the Cryotek repaint), I actually couldn't tell that they were pilot seats until I read that article.

To be fair I was like 10 when I got them (except Tigerhawk which I got like 4 months ago)

I know that it is said that the Japanese version of Cryotek has the spark driver, and I'm sure that's true, but I've never ever seen a photo of one (and I've looked). So I'd be interested too if someone finds an image.

I agree, I couldn't find a pic anywhere, hell, even Google Images was no help.

What's the japanese name for the Spike headmaster on a japanese Fortress Maximus?

I can't seem to remember if you even see the small headmaster forming Fortress' head in the Headmasters cartoon, let alone if he was named...

Edit: Ok, no sooner than i finished looking and posting this, i'm about to close TFWiki tab and lo and behold, i must be ready for sleep

In Japan, Fortress Maximus's mental functions are housed in a small robot who transforms into a head and connects to a larger, lifeless Transtector body. This larger body in turn becomes the head of a giant Transtector, forming the robot known as Fortress Maximus. The Headmasters toyline referred to the smallest robot as Cerebros, who formed the head of the intermediate robot Fortress, but this distinction was never actually made in fiction, and the character was always referred to as "Fortress" regardless of whether he was in small or intermediate form.

Inspired by a similar question on TFW2005...

what happens to unsold toys in Australia?

Is there a big landfill site out there somewhere full of unwanted TF stuff???
