Kup looks awesome and better than I thought he would be.

I said this before in another thread, but the more I see of Tracks the less I like him. WTF is with his flying car mode - they butchered it It looks like an after-thought or someone jokingly mistransformed him and said "look, it's his flying car mode" and they just went with it.

I have seen better pictures of the flight mode but still not that good, maybe they keep mis-transforming it.

The face sculpt really does an awesome job at paying homage to Kup, the face even looks like an old bloke!

I like the overall toy but I think his face could use some work. He looks way too much like those crappy Don Figueroa Ongoing 'movie' faces.

You could be right. They did mistransform him in the initial photos that were released / leaked. Do you have any links to these 'better' pictures?

Just a moment, I found the pics randomly and I have not seen them since. Let me back track a bit until I find it. However don't hold your breath, it's certainly better but not great and still looks mis-transformed but with more hope that it can be corrected.

It looks as if one could possibly re-arrange the wings back a bit so that more of the kibble is hidden under the hood and we all know that the missiles can deploy from the back.

Lugnut is now in the more defined United line which is the direct successor to Henkei which was also a much more defined 'classics' line than Universe.

It is safe to say that Lugnut belongs to 'Classics' just as much as Drift, Hot Shot, Dinobot or Cheetor. In regards to his 'movie' looks, the character is supposed to stand out among the crowd. Despite his Animated styling in that line, he still stood out due to his very robotic design in the same way that Shockwave stands out among the G1 Decepticons or Whirl stands out among the G1 Autobots.

That's actually a fairly persuasive argument, that Lugnut should go with Classics figures as he's supposed to stand out - I'm now happy to purchase him, cheers dude.

But you've got to admit that it's better than just a repaint or a 'default' type face, IMO it's miles better than that Botcon exclusive head anyway.

It's looks like such an aborted attempt that I'd prefer to go on believing that Turbo Tracks doesn't have a 'Flying Car' mode.
