Really?! In both #1 of the G1 comics and episode 1 of the G1 cartoon, when the Decepticons boarded the Ark, Optimus Prime eagerly led a counter-offensive. There was no "parlay" or negotiation. Likewise when the Autobots first encountered the Decepticons on Earth -- yeah, it was on for young and old!

True that, but there are plenty episodes where Optimus tries to avoid engaging in gunfight too. I guess they do have to try and make him sort of gentle natured him being the Autobot leader and everything.

Fear not then, as the show has been Green-lit with a guarantee of 3 seasons comprised of 26 episodes each that'll definitely go to air... pending The Hub stays afloat.

Same as Animated so I'll stay cautious for now.

Also what Gok said, Prime was all in most of the time without the speeches. And when Cliijumper and Hound (?) fisrt encountered the decepticons on Earth the first thing Cliffjumper did was pull out a big gun and take pot shots at Megatron. Sure the Autobots are peaceful but they also fight.

Not all Autobots are peaceful. Sure you have the "hippies" like Beachcomber and Groove, but you also have action junkies like Cliffjumper... and then there's Blades who actually gets off on ripping Decepticons apart with his bare hands!

And not all Decepticons enjoy fighting... look at Thundercracker.

Just watch season 1 first episode on YouTube and gotta day the characters look awesome. They seem to have this metallic colours. Seems a bit violent to have cliff jumper killed that way and Starscream sure does look more sinister and evil here. Wonder what's the blue fluid that came out from cliffy when he died?

At a rough guess @ Goki, we've got either a young'un or a newcomer to our little addiction here...maybe play gentle for a while oh TF-encyclopedia-sensei.

@Bannobenny - Welcome to the boards. I'm not quite as big a fan of the cartoon as Animated or Beast Wars (check them both out on Youtube etc. if you haven't already btw, they're really good), but totally agree on the toy count - I can't wait for some of these babies. Arcee looks especially awesome, and the Bulkhead toy looks great too. I'll wait on reviews for Cliffjumper but he looks sweet too. If you can be bothered signing up there are some in-person shots of some more Prime toys here.

I love the show, it's dark and violent and the soundtrack is always good.. The humans are not over anoying like in G1. I got the SDCC first edition Prime comming in the mail soon, love the packaging on this figure..

The blue stuff is Energon that comes out of them when they are cut or damaged. I love that they make them bleed in fights

I am really digging this series, and I'm looking forward to the figures too. though I'm going to be a bit patient, as the Voyager prime looks much better than the deluxe, even admitted by the designers at Botcon.

I am expecting a fairly large range of figures over the next couple years, especially now that it might be a while till the next movie.
