I love temptation!
For me, it's like this:
Fisitron was/is a bit tempting.
Sideswipe would be HUGELY tempting if he wasn't G2 colored. Can you imagine that toy in a nice, solid red? But both him and Toxitron (even Fisitron a little bit) seem to be part of this fan love of grossly coloured G1.5/G2/Shattered Glass toys that just do absolutely nothing to float my boat (quite the reverse actually).
My distaste for Toxitron is only compounded by the use of the voyager class Pig-Nose Prime mold, which I already have little-to-no time for. Their decision to use that mold for Motormaster almost made me boycott the box set. I don't even use it to represent Optimus Prime in my display because I dislike it so. (Cybertron Deluxe FTW!)
As to whether I'd count the Botcon comic as fiction, if it's sole purpose wasn't to unite this latest round of disconnected figures with the pre-existing fiction, I'd give it more credence. Are Galvatron and Thundercracker in the comic? If so, that would definitely discount it as not having any merit in my world.
Gosh, I miss Animated. It's a shame that it seems key folk at FunPub aren't big fans and this will be their last use (or so it has been theorized).
