The combined mode is not that terrible as it is Omega with optimus's head and junk in the trunk but acts like a freaking awesome mech suit for Prime. I didn't use the drone bots as they look crap

Also I didn't get instructions with my Omega. Anyone else find this
I have takara fatimus prime MISB in storage overseas... so not getting it

I used to like having the drones from Optimus combined with Omega while Optimus himself was combined with Wing Saber. I really miss Wing Saber, I hope that's one of the Platinum releases, to complete the set, especially since it didn't get a wide western release.
maybe I should get another fatty prime since I also have this as well.

Just notice that since its regular pricing, I will do a wait and see for both Platinum Prime and Omega

The Platnium series overall is it's own thing I guess, but most closely fits with the "Generations" toyline.

Omega Supreme is based on FOC Omega Supreme, so he belongs with Generations/WFC/FOC.

Optimus Prime combines with Omega but is a pretty generic OP. Since he combines with Omega best guess is he's an as yet unseen reformat of FOC/WFC OP.

Ultra Magnus is pretty clearly based on UM from Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters, so he's Prime continuity.

We've not seen enough of Grimlock vs Bruticus to judge yet but they are the Generations molds, so FOC.

The other toys in the series are still just rumours at this stage.

I think Hasbro probably intends/thinks all these toys are part of the "Aligned" continuity, whatever that means, but since that's meant to encompass WFC, FOC, the novels, and Prime, all of which contradict each other, it's not entirely clear what that means.

The poster above me explained which series the repaints are taken from.
Thanks for the replies guys! I reckon I'll probably get them since they are released as special editions in the Snake Year.
And this year has been and will be really special for us.

Was hoping Big W could have at least discounted Omega Supreme a bit in their toy sale.

On another note, saw TF Prime Beast Hunters Ultra Magnus at TRU yesterday, was really tempted to get him but couldn't find a price tag.

I'd say it's the same as the others which scanned up at $44 on the wall scanner. it wasn't in the system for me.

Now THIS is how a mid-year toysale used to be....

Just about every size class was on sale somewhere, with stores actually listed "savings" rather than just advertising new items with no discount.
