Yeah I thought that was the case but I simply wasn't categorically sure... Whoa! - The Euro Overlord actually saw a limited release here?, now THAT is news to me!

I personally never saw Overlord in stores, but there have been isolated anecdotal accounts of people who said they saw it. Same with the Ultra Transmetal 2s, MP Skywarp and Thundercracker -- I've personally never seen these toys in stores, but there have been accounts of sightings. IIRC there were also photos posted of MP Thundercracker on shelves too. Aaah, if only we had mobile phones with cameras in 1991 (oh, and the internet to upload it on... heh... of course, it'd take me quite some time to download a single image on my old 8k dialup modem at the time ).

Sitting alongside the Motorvators, i too remember seeing an Overlord. I can't remember the name of the toy store for the life of me It was in Westfields Liverpool during their expansion in the 1990's.

The TFCC Depth Charge figure - does it come with a story/comic attached to it?

I recall getting TM2 Megatron (dragon) from Target. He was half price when he hit the shelves which I didnt realise until I was taking him through the checkout, so I promptly went back and grabbed another Tigerhawk was a very limited release AFAIK that I only found at Mr toys toyworld at Wynnum up here. It was by pure chance that I was in the area on the day and happened to go into the store. Pretty sure I paid full price for him though and they only had a couple (they had quite a few TM2 Megatrons though too).

    Ahhh, memories...

The last BW figure I bought off a shelf was a TM2 Blackarachnia from Target in Launceston. My little hands were shaking as I went to the counter - I couldn't believe I'd found her.

Honestly not sure dude, but one could assume FunPub will try their hand at something narratively involving the toy.

He's a character in the Club comic and I believe the intent is that he's an alternate reality version of Depth Charge. Not the one that appeared in the Beast Wars cartoon.

    Bio here

And if you scroll down that page, you'll find a page from the Club comic, where Depth Charge interacts with all the Subscription toys
